Shrewsbury – John F. Preusse, 91, of Shrewsbury, formerly of Westborough, devoted husband and beloved father, passed away on Saturday, April 22nd, after battling a long illness.
Born August 20, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY, son of the late John and Florence (Schmidt) Preusse.
John leaves his wife of 67 years, Linda Louise (Wrenn) Preusse, his children, Lisa Soder, Cathy & Tim Jameson, Eric & Peggy Preusse, David & Kristen Preusse; 11 grandchildren, Mathew Guerra, Jennifer Zawacki, Christina Shniffer, Andrew Preusse, Tracey Skelly, Benjamin Preusse, Catherine Foley, Caitlyn Curran, Megan Bonk, Ryan Preusse and Taylor Eckerson. He also leaves 10 great grandchildren.
John was a long-time resident of Westborough, MA and had a long career with Honeywell, as a Program Manager. Most of all, John loved spending time with his family.
John served the country proudly in the United States Navy for 4 years and later 4 additional years in the Naval Reserves. He supported his two son’s Boy Scout Troop, loved baseball, was an avid gardener, enjoyed bird watching, woodcarving, and traveling.
Funeral services will be held privately for Mr. Preusse’s family.
