REGION – This is the second-to-last weekend of spring, and strawberry-picking season is underway.

Some of the farms are offering strawberries, either PYO or pickup at the farmstand. Check the local farm’s website or Facebook page for updates.

Art Show 

The Northborough Art Guild’s Annual Art Show will be held on June 10 and 11 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Northborough Historical Society’s building, corner of 52 Main and School streets.

This is the guild’s 60th anniversary. In partnership with the Northborough Garden Club, members will create floral arrangements to complement the paintings. A silent auction of several paintings will be available. Free admission.

The Northborough Historical Society’s museum on the second floor will also be open both days from noon to 4 p.m.

Community Yard Sale

Saturday, June 10, 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., all over Shrewsbury. Sign up to have your home on the yard sale map: https://bit.ly/SBURYSALE23. A $10 donation will benefit the Friendly House in Worcester.

Hudson Fest

The 35th (almost) annual Hudson Fest will take place Saturday, June 10, from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at South Street, downtown Hudson. There will be 120 vendors, two sound stages, a food court, the Rotary Club’s duck races and more. This is a rain-or-shine event. Information: [email protected].

Friends’ Book Sale 

Saturday, June 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Southborough Public Library, 25 Main St., Southborough. Books of all kinds available for purchase. For every attendee of the sale, there will be one free book available for every child.

Golf Swap Day

Saturday, June 10, 10 a.m. to noon, Westborough Golf Club. Sponsored by the Westborough Women’s Club. Bring used golf clubs to trade or donate; set up club fittings; and donate used bags/items. For children of all ages, there will a putting and chipping challenge. Prizes will be awarded. This is a rain-or-shine event.

Book Sale on the Lawn 

Saturday, June 10, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Westborough Public Library, 55 W. Main St. Sponsored by the Friends of the Library. All new items; most are priced $1 or less. Installation Day 

The Southborough Open Land Foundation invites the public to an Installation Day for the seventh annual Arts of the Trails: “Transformation” on Saturday, June 10, between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. at the Elaine and Philip Beals Preserve. Sixteen projects will be exhibited from 21 artists from all around Massachusetts, as well as from Rhode Island, Illinois and New York. In addition to watching sculptors install their work, there are some musical surprises. The exhibit will remain up through Sept. 17. Culture Fest 

Saturday, June 10, 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., Town Common. Organized by the Northborough Cultural Council, the festival features music and dance stage performances, visual art exhibitions and artist booths, a collaborative art project, and local food vendors. Fun Run for Kids

The Marlborough Rotary will sponsor a free Fun Run for Kids on Sunday, June 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Marlborough Middle School track. Events will include a 50-meter sprint, 100-meter sprint, 50-meter hurdles, 400-meter run, long jump, turbo-jav, softball throw and parent/child sprint. Light snacks and refreshments available.
