Angelo L. Cotoni Sr.Westborough – Angelo L. Cotoni Sr., of Westborough, formerly of Waltham, passed away peacefully early Monday morning June 12th, 2023 with his loving family by his side in the comfort of his home at the age of 83.

Born on May 2, 1940 in Waltham; son of the late Angelo F. Cotoni and Susan (D’Agostino) Cotoni.

A graduate of Waltham High School with the Class of 1959; he furthered his education at the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Angelo was a Proprietor in the Hospitality industry throughout his life. He started several different businesses including one with his cousin Fred Tortola; they became partners and co-owners of the Charlesbank Deli on South Street in Waltham near Brandeis University. He finished his work career at Newton Wellesley Hospital in the food services department.

Angelo had many different interests and pastimes; he loved to travel, enjoyed eating out, was an avid Boston Red Sox fan, but his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his family and friends, especially his grandchildren.

He loved to meet new people and took great pride in visiting and sharing experiences with those fortunate enough to have known him. He loved to hop in the car with his wife and takes rides to visit new restaurants and towns.

Angelo is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Roseann M. (Cacciatore) Cotoni; his devoted & loving sons Angelo L. Cotoni Jr. and his wife Lori A. (Lupo) Cotoni of Waltham and Stephen C. Cotoni Sr. and his wife Kelly A. (Walsh) Cotoni of Mt. Laurel, New Jersey; his cherished grandchildren Erin, Angelo, Stephen Jr., Michael and Domenic; and his dear brothers Philip Cotoni of Arlington; Paul Cotoni of Cape Coral, FL; and Ronald Cotoni of Billerica. In addition he is survived by many nieces and nephews.

Those who wish to pay their respects to Angelo and his family can do so in the Mary Catherine Chapel of Brasco & Sons Memorial, 773 Moody Street, WALTHAM on Wednesday, June 14th from 4PM until 7PM. Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Angelo’s life and remember the love and friendship he shared with others at a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial at St. Luke the Evangelist Parish, 70 West Main Street, WESTBOROUGH on Thursday morning June 15th at 10:30 am.
