Paul F. Donahue Sr.Hudson – Paul F. Donahue Sr., 88, of Hudson, MA, formerly of Marlborough, MA died on Sunday, June 11, 2023 at UMASS Memorial Health Care, University Campus in Worcester, MA after a period of declining health.

Paul leaves his companion and sweetheart of 30 plus years Margaret “Peggy” (Jordan) Sleeper; Paul’s 4 children, Paul F. Donahue Jr. and his wife Caigui Guo Donahue of Barre, MA, Laura Everitt of Barre, MA, Scott Donahue and his wife Kelly of Whitinsville, MA, Derek Donahue and his wife Nadine of Dudley, MA and their mother Velma M. (Andrade) Donahue of Grafton, MA. He is also survived by Peggy’s children, Brian Sleeper and his wife Sherry of Leominster, MA, Amy Morse and her husband Jeffrey of Hudson, MA, Julie Pote and her husband Jamie of Hudson, MA; his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his siblings Harold Donahue, William “Bill” Donahue, John Donahue, Helen O’Brien and Doris Mahoney.

Paul was born and raised in Marlborough, MA, son of the late Harold and Mary Jane (Scott) Donahue. He attended the Immaculate Conception school and was a 1953 graduate of Marlborough High School. He served in the U. S. Air Force and was a proud Veteran. He worked for General Motors in Framingham, MA for 35 years until his retirement. He was a member of Saint Michael Parish in Hudson, MA and a life member of the Hudson Lodge of Elks.

The simple things in life is what Paul enjoyed the most. He was most comfortable socializing with friends and family. He was honored to be a part of the Hudson Lodge of Elks as a volunteer for the many events held yearly. He loved keeping busy and working was always a part of his life. Paul’s passion was family, sharing many memorable moments with not only his own children but also Peggy’s throughout the years. He cherished his grandchildren and all the joy they gave him. Paul will be truly missed but certainly not forgotten by those that loved and knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 4 to 7pm on Thursday, June 15, 2023 at Tighe Hamilton Regional Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA. The Hudson Lodge of Elks will hold their Ritual at 5:00 pm on Thursday at the funeral home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 am on Friday, June 16, 2023 at Saint Michael Parish, 21 Manning St., Hudson, MA; followed by a procession to Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Marlborough, MA for Committal Services.
