Shrewsbury police investigating break-ins

SHREWSBURY — The Police Department is investigating a series of break-ins overnight on Friday, June 23, into Saturday, June 24.

On June 24 at approximately 7:15 a.m., the police began receiving reports of a break-in at a residence, along with six break-ins into motor vehicles. The calls were all from Avon Avenue and Phillips Avenue area. Shrewsbury patrol officers and detectives were dispatched to the scenes, and immediately began investigating the cases.

Police would like to remind all of our residents to please keep their home and vehicle doors locked at all times; if you see anything suspicious, call 911.

This investigation remains active and ongoing. If anyone has any information regarding these crimes, contact Detective Kyle Amato at 508-841-8457.

Police also ask that any residents who live in this area who have security cameras, to please review footage from the overnight hours of Friday, June 23, into Saturday, June 24.  If you observe anything suspicious, notify the department.
