Jason B. ParkerHudson – Jason B. Parker, 28, of Hudson, MA, passed away on June 16th, 2023, surrounded by family after a short, but bitter fight with advanced melanoma.

Jason was born in Worcester, MA, on October 4, 1994, to parents Bradlee and Cathy (O’Neil) Parker.

Jason leaves behind his parents, Bradlee and Cathy (O’Neil) Parker of Hudson, MA; sister Nicole (Parker) Mattson and her husband Dan and nephew Bridger; his grandparents Lee and Alda Parker; his uncles Brandon, Mike, Rick, and Len; his aunts Jane, Leslee, Louise, Robbie, and Nancy; and his cousins Ben, Adam, Neil, Emily, Finn, and Amelia.

Jason grew up in Hudson, MA.  He graduated from Hudson High School, and went on to receive an Associate’s Degree from Quinsigamond Community College. He had also been working toward a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science at SNHU. Jason enjoyed his job as a finish carpenter, and he specialized in custom work.

Jason was honest, kind, and willing to help his family and friends in any way he could. His natural talents shone through when his brain and his hands could work together. He taught himself to make knives with a coal forge that he had built himself. He was mechanically inclined, and handy in wood crafting, with which he made many practical, and cherished gifts.

Jason loved being outdoors. In the summer, he could be found down at the family cottage on Lake Boon, or at the shooting range. He enjoyed hunting in the fall. And in the winter, he enjoyed downhill skiing across New England and riding the backcountry of the western mountains of Maine on his Ski Doo Summit.

A Celebration of Life will be held in Jason’s honor on Sunday August 13, 2023, at the Hudson Elks Lodge, 99 Park Street, Hudson, MA 01749, from 1pm-4pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jason’s memory to the Rangeley Lakes Snowmobile Club, 722 Loon Lake Road, Rangeley, ME 04970 (http://www.rangeleysnowmobile.com).
