Virginia F. BoynsNorth Grafton – Virginia F. (Young) Boyns, 104, of North Grafton MA was welcomed into her Lord’s home on July 15, 2023.

A life long resident of North Grafton, Ginny graduated from Grafton High School, class of 1936. Once her children started attending school, Ginny worked in the Grafton school system cafeterias, were she was fondly known as “the lunch lady” until she retired.

Although she did not consider herself the outdoor type, she loved traveling and camping with her husband Ed, family and friends; from Maine to Florida. Painting and sewing crafts to sell at local fairs was a favorite hobby in Ginny’s retirement years.

Never idle, Ginny was always busy playing cards, taking bus trips, attending outdoor concerts and even picking blueberries. She made friends wherever she went. Ginny’s smile was contagious, as well as her laugh. We always joked that when Mom lost one friend she would gain two more.

Ginny was always in fashion. Making sure her hair, nails, clothes, and jewelry were put together perfectly. She earned the nickname “Queen Bee”.

Ginny was predeceased by her husband Edmund D Boyns, her mother, Virginia M Young, and brother William Young. She leaves her daughter Karen Boyns Lucy and husband Tim Lucy of Dayton ME. Her daughter Deborah A. Larkham and husband Thomas Larkham of Millbury MA, with whom she lived since late 2020.

Viewing will be held at Roney Funeral Home 152 Worcester Street North Grafton, Thursday July 20 from 10 to 12. Mass will follow at Our Lady of Hope Parish at Saint Mary Church 17 Waterville Street at 12:30. Burial will follow at Pine Grove Cemetery, located across from the church.

The family suggests any donations be made to St. Jude, Ginny’s favorite charity. 502 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105.
