Marlborough – Charlotte (Grace) MacArthur, 87, of Marlborough, formerly of Southborough, died Sunday, July 16, 2023, at Christopher House in Worcester, MA.
She was the daughter of the late Leo and Charlotte (Kane) Grace and the wife of the Late James MacArthur. Charlotte was predeceased by her son, Paul “Moon” MacArthur, her sister, Janice Monroe and her son-in-law, Stephen Hamlin.
Charlotte was a lifelong nanny and had a passion for taking care of children. She loved every child that she cared for with her whole heart. Charlotte also enjoyed traveling around the U.S., and crafting, and could do just about anything she set her mind to.
She was fierce, opinionated, and her humor was her strong virtue. She was always making everyone laugh and smile. She was a loving person who touched many lives with her generosity and big heart. She was truly one of a kind.
She is survived by her daughter, Lee-Ann Hamlin of Berlin; her son, Brian MacArthur of Marlborough; her daughter-in-law, Katharine MacArthur of Southborough; her grandchildren; Terrance MacArthur, Brenda MacArthur, Elizabeth MacArthur, Sarah Roies and her husband Jon, Jessica Munson and her husband Cameron, Jeffrey Hamlin, Daniel Hamlin and Meghan Hamlin. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Hannah, Madelyn and Gwen Roies, Carter, Olivia and Aubree Munson, Mila and Liliana Jimenez.
Visiting hours for Charlotte will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Morris-Johnston Funeral Home, 40 Main St., Southborough, MA 01772. A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11:00AM at St. Anne Church, 20 Boston Rd., Southborough, MA. Burial will follow at Southborough Rural Cemetery, 11 Cordaville Rd.
