NORTHBOROUGH – Whitney Place at Northborough recently held a pancake brunch with proceeds supporting the SALMON at Northborough’s team for the Alzheimer’s Association walk in October.
The brunch, which was held on Aug. 30, raised $130. That morning, staff were busy whipping up pancakes before the brunch began.
“We thought hosting a pancake breakfast would be a great idea to raise money for our Alzheimer’s Walk team,” said Whitney Place Activity Director Maggie Thompkins. “As team captain, I wanted to think of something fun that would also be a nice treat for everyone involved. It’s a nice way to reach out to our local community and raise awareness for a great cause.”
