Maurice was born and raised in Hudson, MA, son of the late Gaston and Lucy (Garon) Renaud. He attended local schools and was a graduate of Hudson High School. Maurice was a machinist by trade and worked locally for GTE and the Daugherty Tool and Die Company until retiring. He was a parishioner for many years at the former Saint Mary’s Parish in Marlborough, MA.

Maurice had a few hobbies and wood working was his favorite. He began crafting toys for his children when they were young. Later he set his wood working skills first on bird houses and then clocks. He enjoyed the frequent trips with his wife Barbara to Pennsylvania visiting the Dutch Country. They even contemplated moving there as the Amish traditions and lifestyle intrigued them both. York Beach in Maine was a frequent vacation camping spot they cherished together as a family. A favorite of both Maurice and Barbara was gathering with friends they met at the Gazbar Grill (a living room and homey atmosphere experience) they truly enjoyed. His unique personality and devotion to helping others is what he leaves behind for all to remember and cherish for years to come.
