Anne GustafsonMarlborough – Anne (Trudeau) Gustafson, 74, of Marlborough died after a long illness on Friday, November 10, 2023, at UMass Memorial-Leominster Hospital. She was the wife of the late Robert K. “Gus” Gustafson, Sr. who died last year.

She was born, raised, and educated in Marlborough, the daughter of the late Charles and Eleanor (Barr) Trudeau.

Anne worked for Raytheon in Sudbury for many years as a microchip inspector and later at Ken’s Foods, before retiring.

She enjoyed baking, shopping, gardening, watching movies, swimming in her pool and snowmobiling. Her lemon cake was legendary and her gift giving knew no bounds. She fiercely loved her grandchildren and spoiling her “luv bugs” brought her immense joy. Anne’s favorite pastime was visiting with family and laughing together over stories from years past. Anne will be forever remembered for her infectious laugh, her beautiful smile, her warmhearted personality, and her homemade root beer.

She leaves two sons, Robert K. Gustafson, Jr. and his wife Karen of Marlborough; Matthew J. “Boomer” Gustafson and his wife Megan of Ayer; a daughter Wendy A. Patriacca of Smithville, Tennessee; Clifford Deckert, who Anne regarded as a son, and his wife Jeanne of Hudson; two brothers, Michael Trudeau and his wife Donna of Nashua, NH; Mark Trudeau and his wife Mary of Leominster; a sister Kathy Herlin and her husband Brian of Casco, Maine; five grandchildren, Daniel, Sarah, Cian, Marin and Max; many nephews and nieces, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brother Charles Trudeau.
