Candace E. Booth LangevinMillbury/Florida – Candace “Candy” E. (Tessell) Booth Langevin, 75, of Millbury and Florida, formerly of Grafton passed away on November 10, 2023, at Holmes Regional Hospital in Melbourne, FL after a brief illness. Her husband of twenty-eight years, William “Bill” Langevin, predeceased her in November 2016.

Candy is survived by two sons, Scott M. Booth and his wife Dawn of Winchester, KS, and Peter J. Booth and his wife Michelle of Sterling; a daughter, Dawn Booth Desmarais of Millbury; a brother, John Tessell of Webster; two sisters, Robin Thorenson and Jill Tessell, both of South Grafton; five grandchildren, Mia, Hannah, and Morgan Booth, Brayden and Kiandra Desmarais; many nieces and nephews. Sadly, she was predeceased by a grandson, Justin Booth. Candace was born in Worcester, daughter of the late, Vincent Tessell and Agnes (Pierce) Riley.

She was raised in Grafton and graduated from Grafton High School.

Candy worked as a customer service representative and bank teller for various banks in Worcester. She remained in Grafton for many years, before moving to Millbury and eventually becoming a Florida resident. She was an avid cat lover, rescuing many cats and kittens and had a genuine heart for animals.

Family was most important to Candy, she especially cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren. Candy will be dearly missed by her many family and friends.

Calling Hours will be held on Wednesday, December 27 from 4 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. with a Prayer Service at 6:30 p.m. in the Mercadante Funeral Home & Chapel, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. On Thursday, December 28, please gather at the funeral home to form a procession departing at 11:30 a.m. to Fairview Cemetery in South Grafton for committal services at 12 Noon.
