Marlborough – Martin H. Beatty, Jr., 85, of Marlborough, passed away unexpectedly in the comfort of his home on Monday, December 25, 2023. Martin was born in Boston, the son of the late Martin Sr and Gladys (Dow) Beatty.
He is survived by his beloved children, Brenda Beatty of Marlborough, Darlene Robbins of Maynard, Martin Beatty III of Marlborough, Lurleen Orrell and her husband Thomas of Gloucester, his cherished grandchildren, Christopher, Ashley, Jennavie, Miranda, Bobby, Julienne, Keith, Melodie, Lakotah, Issaih, Samantha, as well as many nieces and nephews.
Martin is pre-deceased by his granddaughter Shannon Robbins and two sisters Barbara Beatty and Lorraine Vestal.
Martin served his country proudly in the Army. He then worked as a heavy equipment operator and was a member of Local 4 Engineers for many years.
Calling hours will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, from 10:00 to 11:45 in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W Main Street, Marlborough.
Following calling hours, a graveside service with Military Funeral Honors will be held at 12:00 PM in Evergreen Cemetery, 133 Wilson Street, Marlborough.
