WESTBOROUGH – Westborough Connects has announced two winter programs.
Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration
This “all ages,” free event takes place on Monday, Jan. 15, from 4 to 6 p.m. at Westborough High School. This year’s theme is “Walking the Path to Dr. King’s Beloved Community,” and it will feature an interview with the principal and founder of Brick and Story, LaToya Thomas. Thomas will then lead small group community conversations centered around this year’s theme.
Children are invited to participate in a dedicated children’s program led by Westborough resident and children’s author Wednesday Boateng in collaboration with WHS Black Student Union. Complimentary, light refreshments will be offered to all.
More information can be found at www.westboroughconnects.org/programs, and on Facebook at www.facebook.com/westboroughconnects.
The event is co-hosted by Central MA Connections in Faith, Westborough Interfaith Clergy, Westborough Public Schools and Westborough Connects.
Partial grant funding was provided by the Westborough Cultural Council, a local agency supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
