MARLBOROUGH – Crews from the city’s Department of Public Works worked through the night to repair a water main break on Boston Post Road East.
The break happened sometime during the afternoon of Wednesday, Jan. 10, near Curtis Avenue and Clinton Street. Water service to the neighborhood was suspended, and traffic diverted.
According to interim DPW Commissioner Theodore Scott, the repair was completed and water service restored just after 6 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 11.
Road repairs are under way; traffic will be restricted to single lanes in both direction on Boston Post Road East between Curtis and Clinton for the foreseeable future.
