Marlborough – Louis “Lou” J. Turieo, 81, of Marlborough, died on Monday, January 15, 2024. Lou was born in Marlborough, MA, the son of the late Daniel L. and Mary A. (Cardellichio) Turieo.
He worked as a technician for Carrier for many years.
Lou is survived by his wife of 19 years, Elizabeth Turieo, his two sons, Louis Turieo and his wife Jennifer, Salvatore Turieo and his wife Karen all of Marlborough, his daughter Nicole Schellhaas and her husband James of FL, five grandchildren, Angelina, Sofia, Jackson, Natalia, and James, two nephews, Daniel Hedin and William Hedin, and a niece, Jane Hedin.
He was predeceased by his sister, Philomena Hedin, in 2021.
Lou excelled at baseball at an early age and eventually transitioned to softball and played for many years in the Marlboro Men’s Softball League as well as the Senior Men’s Softball League.
He also thoroughly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play their own sports through the years and was an avid supporter of the Special Olympics’ softball program.
Services will be private.
