Richard J. StrzelewiczShrewsbury – Richard J. “Dick” Strzelewicz, 81 of Shrewsbury, peacefully passed away on Friday, January 19, 2024 at The Shrewsbury Nursing Home.

He leaves his beloved wife, Elaine (DeFalco) Strzelewicz; his children: Lori Kelly, Michele Strzelewicz and husband Mike and Kayne Faucher and wife Gretchen; grandchildren: Brianna and John Golder, Ryan Kelly, and Mullen and Andrew Faucher; great grandson Brayden Golder and a brother Robert Strzelewicz and wife Peggy.

Dick was born in Webster, MA, son of the late Edward and Bernice (Malkowski) Strzelewicz. He was raised and educated in Oxford, MA, graduating from Oxford High School. Dick served his country proudly in the U.S. Army, until his honorable discharge in 1964.

Dick worked in the construction industry as a General Contractor and business owner; he retired from Boston’s Peabody Construction Company in 2005.

Dick was a “car guy,” who loved showing his 1934 Ford Vicky on those hot Friday nights at Kimballs Farm, Lancaster and attending the New England drag races with his very special best friend and “family” member, Bob Erickson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of one’s choice.

Dick’s family will be celebrating his life privately. Burial will be held in the spring.

The Britton-Shrewsbury Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
