Shrewsbury – Margaret M. (Albrizio) Russell Giordano, 94, of Shrewsbury, died early Sunday, January 28, 2024 at Milford Regional Medical Center. Her husband, Frank Giordano, died in 1987. Her first husband, Michael John Russell, died March 19, 1968.
She leaves two sons, Edward Charles Russell of Coalinga, CA and Paul Joseph Russell of Wiscasset, Maine; a daughter, Susan Rose Russell of Worcester; a sister, Eleanora Penny of Worcester, and a brother, Frank Albrizio of Millbury; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her oldest son, Michael John Russell 2nd in September, 2023, her granddaughter Jessica Dumas in August, 2023, and two sisters, Beatrice Pepper and Anna “Nina” DiPerrio.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of Frank and Mary (DeSantis) Albrizio.
Margaret loved interacting with customers who enjoyed her serving breakfast, lunch, etc. She passed on life’s lessons in faith, ethics, integrity, and enjoying simple pleasures. The inner quiet strength, and her gift – a capacity to remain positive – were immeasurable. Her daily accomplishments rewarded by enjoying her “one” cigarette per day, relaxing on the couch. She lived to and loved dancing at Moseley’s on the Charles.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, February 1, 2024 at 10:00 am at Mountain View Cemetery, 22 Boylston St, Shrewsbury, section L85.
Arrangements are in the care of Rice Funeral Home, 300 Park Ave Worcester.
