Marlborough – David “Bumpah” Connors, 73, of Marlborough, died Wednesday, January 31, 2024, at UMass Memorial Health – Marlborough Hospital. He was the son of the late Edmond and Rita (Tardif) Connors.
David started his working career at Ideal Roller as a machine operator, where he met many lifetime friends. He later became a full-time bartender at the Prospector East Saloon (The P) and later at the Cozy Café.
David was an avid reader and always had his Kindle close by. He also enjoyed walking the Assabet River Rail Trail and his monthly trips to Trader Joe’s to load up on goodies. David especially enjoyed family gatherings celebrating holidays and birthdays. As his friends and family can attest, David was a wonderful guy and had a great sense of humor.
David is survived by his sister, Laurie Ibbotson and her husband Bill, and his brothers, Peter Connors, John Connors and his wife Anabelle, Michael Connors and his wife Laurie, nephews Craig Woods and his wife Donna Vachon, Mark Woods and his wife Tara, and grandnieces and grandnephews Aiden, Malory, Colin and Garett.
Visiting hours for David will be held Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 5:00-7:00pm at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
