Marlborough – Mary Brissette, 101, of Marlborough and formerly of Hudson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 1, 2024 in St. Patrick’s Manor, Framingham, MA surrounded by her loving family.
Mary was born in Hudson, MA, the daughter of the late Anthony and Philomena (Moitozo) Garcia. She graduated from St. Michael’s Academy, Class of 1940. Mary was a homemaker whose priority was her family. In her later years she was employed at Goulds/Redwood shop in Hudson as a bookkeeper.
Mary was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, William J. Brissette in 2005.
She is survived by her 4 children, David A. Brissette of Marlborough, Richard A. Brissette and his wife Laura of Hudson, James W. Brissette and his wife Lynne of ME, Jeanne M. Donovan and her husband Richard of ME, 10 grandchildren, Kristen, Michele, Pamela, William, Christina, Lindsay, Steven, Bridget, Colleen and Brendan, 8 great grandchildren, her son-in-law Ken Benway of NC, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Besides her husband, Mary was predeceased by 2 children, William J. Brissette Jr. and Christine Benway, her brother Albert Garcia and daughter-in-law, Adelia Brissette.
The family would like to thank all the staff at St. Patrick’s Manor for all the love, care and support they gave Mary throughout the time she spent with them.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2024 from 4-7 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.
A Funeral Mass will be Celebrated on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at 9:30 am in the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough, MA. Interment will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Hudson, MA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Mary’s name to the charity of your choice.
