Anthony M. VincequereShrewsbury – Anthony M. “Butch” Vincequere, 81, of Shrewsbury passed away peacefully with family by his side on Sunday, February 18, 2024 in the comfort of his home. His wife of 58 years, Marine L. (Pellegrino) Vincequere died Oct. 22, 2022.

Anthony is survived by his three sons, Anthony M. Vincequere III, and his wife, Robin of Shrewsbury; Scott J. Vincequere of Millbury and Nicholas D. Vincequere and his wife, Christine of Worcester; seven grandchildren, Anthony Michael IV, Cole James, Thomas Francis, Mario J., Dominic M., Alyson Marine and Natalee Lynda, a great-granddaughter, Lucia Dora, his brother, Steven J. Vincequere and his wife, Elaine of Worcester; a sister-in-law, Donna Vincequere of South Carolina and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Paul Vincequere and Timothy Vincequere.

Anthony was born in Worcester, a son of the late Anthony and Alphonsa “Louise” (Alicandro) Vincequere and has lived in Shrewsbury for most of his life.

Mr. Vincequere was a meat cutter for many years and worked for Big Y Markets.

He served with the Massachusetts Army National Guard and was a graduate of Commerce High School, Worcester. Anthony was a member of St. Anne Church and was an active parishioner also serving as a Eucharistic Minister. His greatest passions were spending time with family, vacationing, attending his grandchildren’s sporting events & theater and watching the Bruins. Hockey was his favorite sport.

The funeral will be held on Monday February 26, 2024 with a Mass at 11:30 AM in St. Anne Church, 130 Boston Turnpike, Shrewsbury. Calling hours in St. Anne Church are Monday February 26, 2024 from 10:00 to 11:30 AM before the funeral Mass. Burial will be private in Mountain View Cemetery.
