Richard M. MacIverCamden, ME – SFC Richard M. MacIver, 86, of Camden, ME and formerly of Marlborough, MA died at his home in the arms of his loving wife. Richard was born in Littleton, NH the son of the late Murdock J. and Margaret R. (Morrison) MacIver.

Richard enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1955 and served on the U.S.S. Pine Island. After serving in the Navy, he worked for General Motors in Framingham for many years until it closed in 1989. Richard then returned to the service enlisting in the U.S. Army. Richard served his country for over 27 years.

He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Pattie MacIver of ME, his children, Lisa MacIver of FL, Brendan MacIver of CA, Richard MacIver and his wife Rachelle of CA, Nancy Pignataro and her husband Michael of FL, Wendy Mara and her husband Robert of FL, Melissa Trenouth of CA, 12 grandchildren, a sister Rebecca Lore of Sutton, a brother Bill “Red” Tripp of Marlborough and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Richard was a member of the ITAM and American Legion, he loved to travel with his wife Pattie, especially to Crater Lake OR. He enjoyed collecting coins and sports, especially the Red Sox and the Patriots.

Calling hours will be held on Friday March 1, 2024 from 4-6 pm in the Short & Rowe Funeral Home, 95 W. Main St., Marlborough, MA.

A funeral Service will be held on Saturday, March 2, at 10 am also in the Funeral Home. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson St., Marlborough.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Richard’s name to either the Wounded Warrior Project, www.woundedwarriorproject.org or to the ASPCA, www.aspca.org.
