Deborah A. CaseyShrewsbury – Deborah Ann Casey, 73, of Shrewsbury, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 18, 2024 in the comfort of her home.

She leaves her beloved daughter, Keri Zawalich and her husband Franny, of Leicester; her grandsons, Jacob and Andrew Zawalich, both of whom she cherished dearly; her siblings, Susan Casey, of Worcester, and James Casey and his wife Kate, of Brimfield; her nephew, James Casey and wife Allie, of Wilbraham, and Kimberly Casey, of Huntsville, AL; as well as three grandnieces, and many friends and extended family members. Deb was predeceased by a grandson, Tyler Zawalich, in 2001.

Deborah was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Frederick F. Casey and Jeannette (Aubain) Casey. She was raised and educated in Shrewsbury, graduating from Shrewsbury High School, Class of 1969.

Deb was self-employed for much of her career, and enjoyed acting as a holistic advisor to her treasured clients. She was known to be quite the herbalist, loved aromatherapy, and was on her way to becoming a naturopath.

Above everything, Deb’s family meant the world to her, especially her beloved grandsons. She will be deeply missed, but her legacy lives on forever.

Flowers are welcome, as well as memorial donations, which may be made to a charity of your choice that benefits animal welfare.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Deb’s family from 9:30 – 11 AM on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the BRITTON-SHREWSBURY FUNERAL HOME, 648 Main St., Shrewsbury, with a service to follow at 11. Please consider wearing red, or an accent of red, to honor Deb’s love for the color. Burial will be held at Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester.
