Whitinsville – Melinda “Mel” (Craft) Ellis, 57, passed away April 3, 2024 at Tufts Medical Center in Boston following a brief illness. She leaves her husband of 34 years, James “Jim” Ellis, her daughter Nicole and son Kevin, her brother Michael Craft and his wife Shawn.
Mel was born in Worcester, MA, daughter of Frances (Johnson) and Gilbert Craft. Her roots were in Grafton where she lived for many years before moving to Whitinsville.
She worked as an Accountant for NAPA Auto Parts and was also the Treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary Post 92 Delisle Goulet Post in Grafton.
Away from work she adored her family, watching General Hospital or even WWE Wrestling with her son Kevin later that night. Kevin also grew here interest as a New England Sports fan following the Bruins, Patriots and also college gymnastics. She also followed the Tour de France with her daughter Nicole.
Funeral services and burial for Mel will be private at her family’s request.
