Marlborough – Aristotelis Simopoulos, 96, of Marlborough, died April 17, 2024, at his home.

He was the son of the late Thomas and Efy (Zikopoulos) Simopoulos and the husband of Chrisanthy (Koutsou) Simopoulos to whom he’d been married to for 60 years. He was predeceased by his sister Perry Mitsopoulos.

Along with his wife, Aristotelis is survived by his son, Thomas Simopoulos and his wife Irene of Southborough, his daughter Jennie Jerista and her husband Joe of Natick, his grandchildren Kristy Simopoulos and Vivian Simopoulos, his brother Theodosios Simopoulos, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Aristotelis, affectionately known as Telly, came to the United States from Greece in the 1950s. He worked in the shoe factories and later on built a successful Masonry business for decades. Some of his incredible work can be seen around Marlborough, such as the John Brown Bell tower and the brick wall surrounding the shoe factory statues. He was an avid newspaper reader, loved his Dunkin Donuts coffee and grilling on the BBQ. He was a wonderful husband, father and pappou, and he will be dearly missed by his loved ones.

Visiting hours for Aristotelis will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024, from 5:00-7:00PM at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough, MA 01752. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, April 24, 2024, at 10:00AM at Sts. Anargyroi Greek Orthodox Church, 9 Central Street, Marlborough, MA 01752. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street, Marlborough.
