Marlborough – Immaculate Conception School hosted its second annual STEM Night Nov. 17. Students from preschool to Grade 8 participated in hands-on STEM activities such as making PlayDoh circuits, engineering towers, creating an iPad app, and testing the pH of household items.
As part of the event, student science projects were on display. Middle school students worked for six weeks using the scientific method to develop and test a scientific question. Projects of sixth- and eighth-grade students were judged by scientists, engineers and educators from the community. Winners were Lindsay Lefebvre and Benjamin Kushi in grade 8, and Dylan Romano and Craig Mitchell in grade 6.
