Marlborough – Paul B. Soucy, 74, of Marlborough, died June 8, 2018 at Marlborough Hospital. Born and raised in Marlborough, he was the son of the late Bert and Rita (Carey) Soucy.
A graduate of the former Hudson Catholic High School, Mr. Soucy continued his education at the Marlborough Vocational School where he studied drafting.
He had been employed as the manager of the frozen food department at the former IGA grocery chain, later Big D, from which he retired.
He was known to be kind and generous to everyone and never judgmental. He enjoyed collecting coins, Tom Petty concerts and the Red Sox.
He is survived by his sisters, Carol McIntyre of Marlborough, Cheryl Soucy of Marlborough, Joan Parlante and her husband Robert of Tequesta, Fla., Marcia Comeau and her husband Tim of Tampa, Fla., and Dawn Leandres and her husband Jeff of Marlborough; his brother, James Soucy of Boston; and was much loved by his many nieces and nephews. He was also the brother-in-law of the late Jack McIntyre.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, June 23, at 9 a.m., at the Immaculate Conception Church, 11 Prospect St., Marlborough. There will be no visiting hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough.
