Nancy J. AnthonyMarlborough – Nancy (Rafus) Anthony, 75, passed away from Corticobasal Degeneration at her home in Marlborough on May 10, 2021. She was the devoted and loving wife of 58 years to Charles Anthony. They were married in 1962 in Hudson, N.H.

Mourning the loss of Nancy are her two daughters and stepdaughter, Patrice Williams of Marlborough, Kendelle Aronson of Attleboro, and Julie Anderson of Dayton, Ore. She was predeceased by her son, Kenneth Bruce Anthony.

Nancy was born on Aug. 5, 1945 in Natick to the late Chester Rafus Sr. and the late Priscilla Rafus.

Nancy is survived by her brothers, Chester Jr. and Kenny Rafus of Northborough, and her sister, Maryann Burse-Higgins of West Bloomfield, N.Y. She is also survived by her four grandchildren, Danielle and Eric Williams and Abby and Hannah Aronson.

Nancy grew up in Marlborough and graduated Marlborough High School in 1963.

She worked for the Five and Dime store, Frye Boot Company, and finally, Raytheon Equipment Corporation where she worked until she retired.

Nancy enjoyed bird watching and spoiling her grandchildren. Nancy also planned her 50th class reunion with pride.

Visiting hours will be held on Sunday, May 16, from 2-4 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, Inc., 40 Pleasant St, Marlborough. Burial will be held on Saturday, May 22, at 10 a.m., at the Evergreen Cemetery, 133 Wilson St., Marlborough.
