Uxbridge – David L. Halterman, 72, passed away on June 28, 2021 at the Lydia Taft House in Uxbridge, after a period of declining health.
He was predeceased by his wife, Maryann (Blais) Halterman in 2017. He is survived by three children, Ronald Halterman of Boston, David Halterman of Uxbridge, and Helena Halterman also of Boston; two brothers, Ronald Halterman and his wife Linda of Uxbridge and Glenn Halterman of Worcester; two stepchildren, Jim Blais and Sarah Blais, as well as several nieces, nephews, and friends.
Born in Framingham on Feb. 21, 1949, he was son of the late Gerald and Rosalie (Sharpe) Halterman, and grew up in Framingham, graduating from Framingham High School. David, along with his brother, Ron, opened and operated Carpet Lover Inc. in Uxbridge since 1987, and in the mid-1990s David opened Carpet Lover Etc. in Westborough. He was very motivated and loved his work. He enjoyed golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
David’s memorial funeral service will be held on Thursday, July 8, at 6 p.m., in Tancrell- Jackman Funeral Home, 35 Snowling Rd., Uxbridge. Calling hours will be held prior to the service from 4-6 p.m.
