UPDATE: The Soular Jazz Festival has been postponed and rescheduled to Sept. 19 due to “weather conditions.”

NORTHBOROUGH – Jazz will ring out across the lawn of the First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Northborough next month as part of the church’s 7th Annual Soular Jazz Festival.

Taking place on Sunday, Sept. 19, the festival will feature three jazz ensembles performing alongside educational exhibits, local food vendors and green technology information booths.

The event is free and open to the public.

This year’s event will be 100 percent solar-powered, and the festival’s outdoor stage will move indoors in the event of rain.

Featured performers include Nadia Washington, the Anastassiya Petrova Trio and the Gringo Kings.

Washington is a songwriter, producer, educator and vocalist. She’s won a number of awards and honors for her work and currently serves as a faculty member at the Berklee College of Music.

The Anastassiya Petrova Trio is anchored by Anastassiya Petrova. She was born in Kazakhstan and has since played a variety of major gigs alongside prominent music figures in the US and in her home country, winning awards along the way.

The Gringo Kings, meanwhile, are a beloved local act performing a high-energy combination of salsa and jazz music.

The Soular Jazz Festival will run from 12 p.m to 4 p.m. The First Parish Church is located at 40 Church St. in Northborough.
