San Antonio, Texas/Shrewsbury – On Tuesday, Aug. 3, 2021, Michael D. Officer of San Antonio, Texas passed away in the Methodist Hospital Northeast Medical Center after a period of declining health. He was 65 years old.
Michael was raised in Shrewsbury, a son to the late David J. and Irene W. (Rock) Officer Sr. He was a 1974 graduate of Shrewsbury High School was proud to have earned the distinction of Eagle Scout with Boys Scout Troop 158 of Shrewsbury. For several years Michael was a co-owner of the former Harding Cafe in Worcester prior to relocating to San Antonio, Texas where Michael worked as a successful sales consultant within the wine industry.
Michael is survived by his three siblings, Susan M. Holihan and her husband Richard of Barre, Robert D. Officer of Shrewsbury, and David J. Officer and his wife Catherine Waud of Southborough. Michael also leaves his niece, Jennifer Rengo and her husband Simon, and his three nephews, Jason Holihan, John Officer and James Officer.
Michael was laid to rest in Mountain View Cemetery, Shrewsbury after a private service.
