Westborough – Alan Russell Karb, 90, of Westborough, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Caldwell) Karb.
Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late E. Russell and Gladys (Doty) Karb. He was educated in Framingham and was a graduate of Framingham High School. He also attended and graduated from Brown University.
During the Korean Conflict he served with the United States Army.
Alan was employed as a sales manager for many years at Dennison Manufacturing in Framingham prior to his retirement.
He was a member of the Assabet Valley Master Singers, was an avid Bridge and tennis player and enjoyed traveling. He and his wife traveled to every continent except for Antarctica.
He is survived by four children, Joanna Heim and her husband, Thomas, of Westborough, Julie Carpenter and her husband, Scott, of Lakewood, CO, A. Thomas Karb of Wells, ME and James Karb and his husband, Ismael, of Astoria, NY. He is also survived by six grandchildren, Russell Heim, Emily Carpenter, Jeffrey Heim and his wife Anieli Gaverio Mantello, Jennifer Carpenter, Gayle Heim and her husband, Tom Gale and Sarah Ryszkowski and her husband, William.
Services will be private.
