Hudson – Jane Daryl Cassidy, 85, of Hudson, Massachusetts (formerly of Green Valley, Arizona), passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving daughters on June 26th, 2022 after a period of declining health.
Jane was born in Concord, Massachusetts to Anthony and Agnes (Yanche) Novick on August 6th, 1936. She lived and worked in Massachusetts in retail until her retirement to Arizona. There she continued in retail sales, until starting her own business of decorative painting to keep her creative spirit alive. She also volunteered for Habitat for Humanity.
Jane is preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Agnes, her sister Carole, her brother Anthony, and her daughter Donna.
Jane is survived by her sister, Gloria Dudzinski of Cumming, Georgia, her daughter Diane Stark and husband Richard of Barre, her daughter Sharyn Lister and Robert Howard of Upton, her son Chris Cassidy of Berlin, 7 grandchildren, and 5 great-grandchildren.
Always remembered as a woman with endless love and compassion for people and animals. Her can-do attitude defined her life and everything she did. She enjoyed reading, theater, gardening, and traveling and exploring the southwest including Mexico.
Jane truly loved animals. She took in and cared for numerous cats throughout her lifetime. Until her death, she shared her love and appreciation for art and beauty with everyone she interacted with. Her house and gardens were always decorated with her favorite pieces of art, each with a story she was excited to share.

Relatives and friends are invited to a period of visitation from 10:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, July 7, 2022, at TIGHE HAMILTON REGIONAL FUNERAL HOME, 50 Central St., Hudson, MA; immediately followed by a Celebration of Her Life at 11:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
