REGION – Here’s the latest update on closings and delays as a result of the winter storm that will be around for most of Tuesday, Feb. 28.
The region is currently under a winter storm warning until 7 p.m. Feb. 28. According to the National Weather Service, as of 5 a.m. Feb. 28, 2.5 inches fell in Grafton, and 2.3 inches fell in Westborough, as of 6:45 a.m.
Westborough Town Hall will open for non-essential employees at 10 a.m.
In Marlborough, Republic has not delayed the curbside pick-up. Trash and Recycling will be picked up on Tuesday as scheduled.
Marlborough Public Schools, along with Assabet Valley Regional Vocational/Technical School District, Advanced Math and Science Academy and the Hillside School, have canceled classes and after-school programs for the day.
In Hudson, the public schools and central office will be closed for the day. All after-school activities have been canceled.
St. Mark’s School in Southborough has canceled classes for the day.
Grafton Public Schools has canceled classes and after-school programs for the day.
Shrewsbury Public Schools and St. John’s High School have canceled classes.
Additionally, trash and recycling collections in Shrewsbury will be delayed by one day.
- Tuesday’s stops will be collected on Wednesday, March 1, 2023.
- Wednesday’s stops will be collected on Thursday, March 2, 2023.
- Thursday’s stops will be collected on Friday, March 3, 2023.
- Friday’s stops will be collected on Saturday, March 4, 2023.
Please make sure that trash and recycling is free of snow and not behind snow banks.
