Shrewsbury – A fundraising wine tasting event will be held at the Hebert Mansion tonight, Nov. 6 from 7-9 p.m.
Also included are: raffles, for items such as Kindle Fire HDs, a SMART TV and a Nikon Digital Camera; silent auctions; door prizes, such as gift baskets and tablets; and giveaways of commemorative wine glasses.
In addition, everyone will have a chance to meet “Corporal Gunnar,” a Siberian husky guide dog, and “Scout,” a service dog-in-training.
All proceeds will go to the Valiant Veterans of Massachusetts Live Life Center, an organization dedicated to bringing education, resources and awareness to those returning home from war. The organization provides work force training, art and recovery program, and provides assistance with things like PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder), TBI (Traumatic Brain Injury) and MST (Military Sexual Trauma).
“We’re especially honored to be part of an event for such a wonderful organization as the Valiant Veterans of Massachusetts,” said Hebert CEO Sheila Schechtman. “There are over 364,000 veterans in Massachusetts, and this organization helps bridge that very tough gap between military and civilian life.”
Tickets can still be bought. For more information please visit: http://www.hebertcandies.com/pages/events.
