New Jersey man arrested in Northborough stabbing

Northborough – The Northborough Police Department released this statement this morning: On Dec. 12, 11:45 p.m. Northborough police officers were dispatched to the Econo Lodge Inn & Suites on 380 Southwest Cut-off for a reported assault. Upon arrival the officers located a male subject who stated he had been stabbed in his abdomen. After a brief investigation, officers located the suspect, Eduardo Velasques, 27, of Trenton, N.J., outside his motel room and he was subsequently arrested.

Hudson second-graders get a memorable ride to school

Hudson – On an unusually foggy morning Dec. 11, second-graders Kendall Jordan and A.J. Leandres were transported to C.A. Farley Elementary School via a Hudson Fire Department truck by Firefighters Brian Harrington, Matt LaBossiere and Brian Sleeper. Their unique mode of transportation wasn’t due to weather conditions. It was a raffle prize at the annual Ice Cream Social, a fundraiser for the Farley Home & School Association.
