Region - Avidia Bank, a $1.3 billion community bank based in Hudson, has made considerable strides regarding its employees' overall wellness. During the beginning of 2016, the Human Resources Department held a “Biggest Loser” competition where they asked employees to create teams and help each other reach their weight loss goals over the course of three months. They had 76 participants which is 37 percent of the bank’s employees. Overall, employees who participated lost a total of 574.3 pounds or 7.5 pounds per participant.
