Public menorah lightings in Westborough and Shrewsbury

Westborough/Shrewsbury - Chabad of Westborough will sponsor its annual Public Menorah Lighting and Chanukah Celebration at the Shrewsbury Town Common, Route 140 and Main Street, on the first night of Chanukah, Tuesday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m., and at Westborough Center at the rotary, Sunday, Dec. 21, at 4 p.m. Delicious holiday refreshments will be available including, Chanukah gelt (chocolate coins), doughnuts, and hot cocoa. Dreidels will also be given out. Town Selectmen and other dignitaries will participate in the festivities. Admission is free and open to all members of the community.

Shrewsbury – After a discussion with the manager of a proposed medical marijuana facility the Shrewsbury Board of Selectmen agreed to render a Letter of Non-opposition regarding the facility at the boards Aug. 26 meeting.
