Region - The second-seed Algonquin Regional High School (ARHS) Tomahawks met the third-seed Wachusett Regional High School Mountaineers for the Central Mass. Division 1 semi-final girls" basketball game on March 5 in the Kneller Athletic Center at Clark University in Worcester. Both teams got off to a sluggish start, punctuated by numerous turnovers. The first period ended with a very low score of 4-3 in the Tomahawks' favor. The scoring picked up a little in the second period and the first half ended with Algonquin still in the lead, 12-10.
