Marlborough – Rita C. (Drury) Dufault, 94, died peacefully Saturday, Nov. 5, 2011 at Kindred Rehabilitation and HealthCare in Marlborough.

Born in Haverhill, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Blanche (Boucher) Drury and the beloved wife of the late Rene O. Dufault, to whom she had been married for 48 years, prior to his death.

She is survived by her sons, Paul F. Dufault and his wife Gail of Worcester and John R. Dufault and his wife Bonnie of Northborough; her grandson, Christopher Dufault of New York City; her granddaughter, Alissa, wife of Eric Helgesen, of Stamford, Conn.; and her great-grandchildren, Zachary and Ellery Helgesen. She is also survived by her nephews, Arthur Dufault of Pensacola, Florida and Roger Dufault of Frederick, Maryland, and her niece, Anna Korosec of Baltimore, Maryland. She was also the sister-in-law of the late J. Roger Dufault, Arthur Dufault and Anne Dufault.

A longtime resident of Marlborough, Mrs. Dufault graduated from Marlborough High School and was a member of the former St. Mary's Parish. She had also been active with the Ace of Clubs. She enjoyed fashion and worked for many years as a salesclerk at various department stores on Marlborough's Main Street. She later retired from the former Carroll Cut Rate.

Her hobbies included reading, sewing and baking, but she especially loved spending her time with her husband and family.

Funeral services and burial were private at the family's request, and under the direction of the Slattery Funeral Home of Marlborough. Donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 311 Arsenal St.,Watertown, MA 02472.
