Police seek suspect in Shrewsbury bank robbery

Shrewsbury – The Shrewsbury Police Department is seeking a suspect in connection with the robbery at the Sovereign Bank on 47 Maple Ave. , which occurred at approximately 11:45 a.m. today.

According to police, the suspect is described as a white male in his thirties, “scruffy,” and approximately 5’11″ with a slender build. He was wearing a black cap, white shirt and dark pants. A note was passed to the teller, police said, but no weapon was shown.
