Cops look for copped copper

Northborough – With the economy ebbing and copper prices on the rise, the theft of copper piping has become more popular among thieves looking for quick cash. According to police in Northborough, the incidence of copper thefts from unoccupied structures has been increasing. While one person has already been arrested in connection to a single theft, it is not clear whether other incidents are related. The investigation continues, and police are asking neighbors to keep watch over empty buildings and to “pipe up” about any suspicious activity.
