Linda E. Jarvis, 62

Marlborough – Linda E. (Scheffler) Jarvis, 62, of Marlborough, died Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, following a lengthy illness. Born in Albany, New York, she was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth (Lockwood) Scheffler and the wife of Raymond Jarvis of Marlborough.

Mrs. Jarvis had been employed at Sybase in Concord for many years before becoming Director of Software and Engineering for IBM in Marlborough. A graduate of Rochester Institute of Technology, she continued her education as a Fulbright Scholar at MIT.

She was always kind and generous and thinking of those she loved.

Besides her husband, she is survived by her son, Gregory Jarvis of Newton; her daughter, Katrina Jarvis of Marlborough; her sister, Joan Hanley of Albany, N.Y.; and her niece and nephews, Andrea, Michael and Al Hanley.

Visiting hours will be held Friday, December 6, from 5 – 7 p.m., at the Slattery Funeral Home, 40 Pleasant St., Marlborough. Burial will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, at 10:00 a.m., at Evergreen Cemetery, Wilson Street in Marlborough.
