Hudson – Yolanda Rodriguez, 84, a longtime resident of Hudson, died Monday, Sept. 28, 2015, surrounded by her loving family, at her home in Hudson. She was the beloved wife of the late Efrain Rodriguez, who died in November 2002.

Yolanda was born and raised in Retalhuleu, Guatemala, daughter of the late Isidro Arroyo and Ersilla Aguilar. She had resided in Hudson for 50-plus years and took great pride in raising her family. She was always elegantly dressed and enjoyed cooking for the family, gardening outdoors, sewing and dancing, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.

She is survived by her three children, Audelina “Lulu” Mendez and her significant other of Hudson, Edevita Luna and her husband of Hudson, and Abel Espinoza and his wife of Florida, and adoptive children Hugo Deleon and Marleny Augustine. She was predeceased by her daughter, Elvia Sonia Ariazo. She is also survived by her six siblings, Mercede Aguilar of Marlborough and Carlota, Lina, Arturo, Victalio and Rudelio Arroyo, all of Guatemala; her 20 grandchildren; and 40 great-grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Cayetano, Ernesto, Carlos, Comception and Rosario Arroyo.

A funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 2, at 9 a.m., in the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, 50 Central St., Hudson (www.tighehamilton.com). Burial will follow in St. Michael’s Cemetery of Hudson. Family and friends may attend calling hours Thursday, Oct. 1, from 5-8 p.m.
