Southborough – Donna McDaniel, a local journalist and historian, will be presenting an informative talk on Women’s History Month on Wednesday, March 16 at 7 p.m. at the Southborough Public Library, 25 Main St.
As the nation approaches a crucial election in November, McDaniel will offer a look back at the women in this country that fought hard for the right to vote—which was not realized until 1920.
The presentation will includes photos of the leaders and “ordinary” women who marched and demonstrated, willing to be ostracized, sometimes attacked physically (even force-fed by the police), and often contrary to their husband’s wishes or demands.
