Northborough – Maurice “Bud” J. Shea, 82, formerly of Northborough, died Monday April 11, 2011 at Radius Health Care in Southbridge after a long illness. He leaves behind his wife of 61 years, Caroline M. (Aubin) Shea; five sons, Kevin Shea of Oxford, Alan Shea of Spencer, David Shea of Gettysburg, Penn., John Shea of Brookfield, and Eric Shea of Shrewsbury; one daughter, Laura Williams of Hopedale; his siblings, Edward Shea of Northborough and Mary Cooley of Gardner; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He had lived in Northborough from 1955-1984, and resided in Acton, Maine before moving to Southbridge in 2003.
Mr. Shea operated Bud Shea's Appliance Repair in Northborough for many years before retiring in 1984. He was a member of Worcester County North Chester Club.
Calling hours will be held Thursday April 14, from 6 to 8 p.m., in Hays Funeral Home, 56 Main St., Northborough. Services and burial are private.
