Hudson – Teresa M. (McPhee) Montecalvo, 95, a longtime resident of Hudson, passed away Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, surrounded by her loving family, at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport. She was born on May 31, 1916 in Nova Scotia to Catherine (MacNeil) and Neil McPhee. She was predeceased by her husband Guy Montecalvo in 2002.

She is survived by four daughters, Gail M. Lambert and her husband Donald of Ogunquit, Maine; Jane F. Montecalvo of Rockport; Nancy E. McCarthy and her husband Jay of Newburyport; and Christine H. Ayotte and her husband James of Tallahassee, Fla., and her son, Gary M. Montecalvo and his wife Deb of Attleboro. She is also survived by nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

Mrs. Montecalvo attended local schools and was a graduate of Littleton High School. She married her husband at St. Ann's Church of Littleton in 1939. They moved to Hudson shortly after that and lived in there for the majority of their lives. She most recently has been a resident at Brigham Manor Nursing Home in Newburyport for the past four years.

She was a member of Saint Michael's Parish in Hudson. She loved politics, baseball and basketball, which she played in high school, and was always proud of the long jump record she held there. She worked at the Wayside Inn in Sudbury during the 1960s and later a finance company in Marlborough during the 1970s.

She was a devoted mother and loved spending time with her family.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Friday, Sept. 23, at 9 a.m., in Saint Michael's Church, 21 Manning St., Hudson. Burial will follow in Saint Michael's Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, Sept. 22, from 5 to 7 p.m., at the Tighe-Hamilton Funeral Home, Inc., 50 Central Street, Hudson.
