Westborough – Barbara (Harper) Minardi,68, died unexpectedly Sunday morning, Oct. 9, 2011 after being stricken ill earlier in the week. She was the wife of the late Michael Minardi, who passed away in 2008. They were married for 45 years.
Born in Framingham, the daughter of the late Irving and Dorothy (Conant) Harper, she lived in Westborough all of her life. She was a graduate of Westborough High School, class of 1960, and then attended two years of college in Vermont.
Mrs. Minardi was employed as a supervisor for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for many years.
She is survived by three sons, Michael Minardi Jr. of Round Rock, Texas, Neil Minardi of North Grafton and Todd Minardi of Westborough; two sisters, Virginia Cox and Joanne Jones, both of Virginia; two grandchildren, Monica and Haley; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mona Jean Minardi.
Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, Oct. 12, from 5 to 8 p.m., at the Rand-Harper-Pickering Westborough Funeral Home, 62 West Main St., Westborough. Funeral services and burial will be private.
