Northborough – The Northborough Moms & Tots and Northborough Helping Hands Association Inc.'s Fourth Annual Backpack and School Supplies Drive was a success for the 2011-2012 school year. The effort met its goal to fill 125 backpacks, which benefited students in need in the Northborough Public Schools.
Liz Nolan, representing Northborough Moms & Tots, attributed the drive's success to outstanding community support. She is also grateful to the following businesses, organizations and individuals whose donations and support helped make the Backpack Drive possible:

According to Nolan, other support came from the members of the Northborough Moms & Tots and Northborough Helping Hands, along with community members who participated in fund-raisers, including the Easter Cookie Tray sale, Barefoot Books sale, Thirty-One Gifts sale, and mini photo shoots by Jennifer MacNeil Photography, and those individuals who contributed monetary donations or school supplies, and who volunteered their time to shop for supplies, fill the backpacks and deliver the backpacks to the individual schools.
In addition to teaming up with Northborough Moms & Tots for the Backpack Drive, Northborough Helping Hands Association Inc. has a medical equipment loan program, holiday outreach program and emergency funds to help those in need. Donations can be sent to P.O. Box 383, Northborough, MA 01532.
