Under the general direction of the Chief Assessor, the position is responsible for the ongoing maintenance of the Town's assessment inventory through data collection and field inspections, listing and collecting data for the Town's taxable personal property accounts, real and personal property data entry into the Town's mass appraisal system, assisting the public with any assessing related inquiries, and supervising and coordinating the duties of the Assessors Office in the absence of the Chief Assessor.
Interested applicants should have a high school diploma and one to three years related experience and or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Massachusetts Accredited Assessor (MAA) is preferred. Basic understanding of computer applications, such as Microsoft word and excel, and experience with Patriot Properties AssessPro software is strongly preferred. The salary range is between $45,344 a year and $64,064 a year DOQ.
